Keep a Secret for me!

I can't take it anymore. I confess. I'm sneaking around.

I'm hiding a big secret from my husband.

I even made my kids swear not to tell on me.

Promise not to tell?

I'm listening to Christmas music. I know, I know, It's not Thanksgiving yet, but I've waited as long as I could. I broke down and pulled out my case of Christmas music. I had to do it.

I've tried to put it off as long as possible. I have been trying to sneak it in by listening to Handel's Messiah (my favorite Christmas music) but I finally broke out the fun stuff this morning.

It's a mixed cd. I love it.

So what sings "Christmas" to you? What song puts you firmly in the Holiday mood? For me it's The Beach Boys. Nothing says Christmas like listening to the harmonies of the Beach Boys. I remember listening to that record every year as we decorated the tree...yeah, record. I don't know if my kids even know what that is. But I listened to it on my Cabbage Patch record player.

Grr. There are a few really horrendous songs on this cd. I can't stand the adults trying to sing like a lispy kid to be "cute" AAAHHHHH! I'm off to put something else on.

So what is your favorite Christmas music?

  1. Josh Grobans "Oh Holy Night" - amazing - goose bumpy. LOVE IT! In fact, I think I am going to listen to it now. Thanks

  2. I've been doing the same thing, since I'm not allowed to put up Christmas decorations yet I've been listening to Christmas music! I love it! My fav is my Mom's German Christmas cd. It has the bells of all the churchs around as the first track and it totally puts me in the Christmas spirit!

  3. I like Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas Canon. "Like" is an understatement. But I don't want to get all gushy here on your blog.

We put up our Christmas tree last Saturday, and that's NO SECRET! Since we switched the clocks back, it's been so dark and cold in our house, so the tree really seems to warm things up.

  4. My "fun" Christmas music is Alvin and the Chipmunks and for serious...Martina McBride's version of "O Holy Night"

  5. We love Alvin & the chipmunks, in fact I had a record I listened to all growing up, I love Josh Groban, also I have good mormon tabernacle choir one, and the Celtic woman I bought the other night is great. since we had a sick day on sunday we played christmas music and put out a few decorations, but no tree yet, Natalie keeps asking when I am going to go buy it.

  6. Alvin and the Chipmunks is one of my many fav's. I have been listening to Christmas since that day after Halloween. Now one of the radio stations here is playing nothing but Christmas. I am in heaven.

  7. LOL, this does not surprise me!!

When are you putting your tree up?

Blah Blah Blah! I know you want to let me know what you think! :)
