Did you know?

Did you know that turning right on red is legal?

Did you know that if your tires are past the white line, then you are technically running a red light before you stopped?

Did you know a ticket is $75?

This public service message brought to you by Dana Stone and her (now-lighter) wallet.

  1. I didn't know that. If your front tires are past the white line when the light is still yellow you can go thru the light and it's technically not running it...but tell that to the cop that gave Preston a ticket. Sorry it sucks having to pay tickets.

  2. Evil police man! Like he's never done the same thing thousands of times. Lots of people do that! I don't like coming to a full and complete stop when I can see well in advance without a doubt that the way is clear. I guess it's just a matter of time before I get caught for doing it too. But maybe your little story will serve as a good reminder to everyone. Thanks!

  3. Sorry to hear that happened... but your post is too funny! :) I agree with Angela that it's a good reminder, because I do that all the time.

  4. So nice of you to take the fall for the rest of you.

Tickets are pretty much like landing on the luxury tax when playing Monopoly. Call it a lottery tax if you like. We all end up paying it at one time or another. Ug.

  5. OUCH!

I watched an MP run a red light (in his POV) the other day. Nice.
