Gingerbread House!

Start by cheating a bit with pre-baked gingerbread from IKEA. One day I will make it from scratch but since I worry about it not working....I wimp out on this step.

One cup of sugar....


Low heat.....


Almost there!


And melted sugar! This works so much better than frosting for glueing the house together...but it is so hot that I made drips and mess because I was afraid I would burn myself (I did...a tiny spot on my index finger)

About 2 cups of sugar, a tsp of lemon juice and and egg white make fluffy snow!

Tomorrow the kids get to attack it with all the leftover Halloween Candy and Christmas candy and decorate it to their satisfaction!
