I have been so busy that blogging has taken a back seat to the rest of my life, but I'm making it a goal to get a few updates posted.
Trapeze is over for the season. It's been a lot of fun and a growing experience for me. I am a very outgoing person, but I tend to hold back if I'm the tinesy-est bit unsure. It's really noticable in my flying. When I overthink what I need to do, or worry about my grip or anything else....I go through the motions and don't fully give it my all.
So this summer, I'm going to work on getting past that. Having faith that even if I can't be perfect, I can still throw myself into whatever I am doing unconditionally.
Trapeze was also a great time for Juliet and I to bond. She started out scared of heights and it only took 3 classes (yeah, I kept dragging her back) for her to feel the addiciton. This last class was a amazing...she was doing things that she never knew she could. I will miss my bud. She is headed off to Arizona for a new life out there....good think they have a trapeze school in Phoenix!
We planned to catch a class (pun intended) on Tuesday, but luck was not with us. We only made it a few minutes out of town when we got a flat tire. Thankfully, being the resourseful, independent women we are, we managed to change the tire. Good thing we are so cool becuase NOBODY stopped.
Unfortunately, the spare was flat too! We called Matt to save us and did what every woman should do when stranded on the side of the highway....we turned up the radio and danced to 80s music!
Here are Juliet and Catie showing
off some extra cool moves.
The obligatory handstand next to the flat spare tire.
Wouldn't you know it? 5 minutes before Matt made it out to us....a woman stopped and she had an air pump in her truck...Fantastic! What a great woman.
We didn't make it to class that night, but we did catch the very last class of the season.
Me modeling the Bucket o'caffeine that 7-11 offers. It's BIGGER THAN MY HEAD. Yikes. In our defense, we were really tired and needed to wake up, we shared it, and we didn't even come close to finishing it.
But we had to get it....How could you not want a bucket of Dr. Pepper?
Looks like you guys had a blast even if you didn't go to the class! Where did you take the class anyway? I'm thinking maybe Austin or something...
ReplyDeleteLol you guys are funny.
