I'm such a dork.
I HATE reality tv.
No, really, I do. Although, I admit that watching people fall on Splashdown(Is that the name?) is fun for a few minutes. I just can't really get into it.
But I'm such a dork. I am addicted to ANTM. That's America's Next Top Model. I have been watching a steady stream of episodes from Youtube.
I hate to admit that I love this show but I finally figured out why I find it so compelling....I'm a photographer! I don't care about modeling. I don't long to show off on the runway, but I do love to watch the process of changing an ordinary girl into an amazing photo.
The hair and makeup look ridiculous out of the scene, the backdrops are over the top.....but when lighting and cameras and models combine....you get an amazing, creative, dramatic, artistic creation.
If I was rich and knew what I was doing, I would love to be able to create art like this....but I'm not.
So I'll just hang out with the model-want-to-be's and dream of what could be.....
You're such a dreamer... and it's awesome. I think you'll be able to do anything you set out to do... you're just that kind of person. :) And it's clear that you have a real talent and an eye for photography, and there's got to be a reason you have been given such a passion for it. So keep dreaming and reaching for those goals!!
ReplyDeleteI get hooked on that show. Usually cuz nothing is on but I wish I had time to do all sorts of pictures like that! I would love it.
