Maddy had her recital (but I've procrastinated blogging about it) on the last weekend in May. She was so incredibly tiny! Check out the pics of everyone lined up at the end....she is a full head shorter than the next girl in her class.
We didn't have horrible seats, but wow, some of the parents must have been waiting for over an hour. It was packed. Fortuanatly, I had my huge zoom lens...unfortunately I wasn't prepared to shoot from across an darkened auditorium at a awkwardly lit stage.
At least Maddy was adorable. The bow was bigger than her head! We had to alter it to make it small enough to fit. She was thrilled to dance on a big stage in her "ballerina dress".
She took very careful, ballerina steps with her hands held just as she was told....but her tiny legs took a LONG time to get to the other end of the stage....the next group was set up and waiting for her to get off the stage so they could start...but she wouldn't run!
It was funny to see her afterwards though. She was so tired that even when Connor gave her a bouquet of flowers she smiled but she was obviously too exhausted to get excited. She crashed, hugging her flowers, before we made it home.
Oh my goodness Dana she is soooo adorable! How fun to be in a ballerina show for her! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. She's such a darling little girl. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's so tiny her tights make her look like she has wrinkled old lady legs.
